Do you know I find it much easier to sit down and share what you’re all up to and achieving, than I do piping on about us.
But with so much good stuff rolling out around the Shed Hub, I am more excited than a mosquito on a nudist camp. So I’ll bring you up to speed.
It’s already been documented that the Hats for Hope sold out during one of the hottest summers on record!
Your enthusiasm and kindness for the cause meant we could hand over your first £500 to The Hope Against Cancer Clinical Trial Unit at Leicester Royal Infirmary.
We are well on the way to being able to do that again in the next week or so!
Mum is binge watching Netflix and knitting to keep pace with demand!
As the Shed community has grown, many of you have asked if we would stock some Shed hoodies, sweats and tees.
So following a nationwide hunt for a British company that matched our morals, ethics and values, we stumbled across a young team of printers on the Isle of Wight.
They do one thing well - print on 100% organic tee shirts and sweats.
The garments are made in India, where the factory owns two wind farms. It’s powered entirely by renewal energy. In the UK they own a solar farm and power the whole manufacturing operations with renewables. Wastewater from the dye house is skimmed and filtered until it is crystal clear and then used at the input for the next batch. It’s a closed loop.
They are working on remanufacturing. 99% of textile products end up in landfill. If new products could be made from old, there would be no waste.
It’s a circular economy and they are working on new fibres made from their old tee shirts.
You can send your old tee shirts back and they will exchange the material for store credit.
We are very proud and excited.
Over the summer we introduced The Shed Original in a couple of colours and styles, and began to get a handle on the fit and sizing.
You are loving them, the softness and the quality, so we’ve stocked more colours and sizes.
Pull over & zip through hoodies are £40 and all tee shirts are £19 - round neck & scoop neck.
Pop by if you are passing for a try on with a cuppa and cake. I’ll be setting up a pop up shop at the drop in swim too!
We are back at Wolverton this Friday 8-9pm through to the last Friday in November.
It’s an extraordinary way of spending an hour on a Friday night with a bunch of like minded swimmers of all abilities.
The coached session is lead by Keith and assisted by Jo.
With plenty of abuse thrown in by Keith for good measure.

Plans are being made for an open afternoon up at The Shed on Sunday 18th November. A opportunity for you to see what we do, get in the pool, watch some swim coaching, mingle and catch up over drink and munchies. Make a note of the date, we’ll have some fun!
My fave bit now. Last weekend Ali Klein and Emma Whitmore pushed on through the very stormy conditions and completed their first Ironman Weymouth 70.3. And John Bowler completed his Ironman 70.3 in the idyllic location of Nice!
Phenomenal achievements.
It was a beautiful weekend for the Dart 10k this year and hoards of you stroked your way down that stunning stretch of river.
Masses of luck go out to the crazy Sheddies plunging in to swim the OSS’s Hurly Burly this weekend. Why oh why?!!! I think you are better off surfing it!
